Most merchants pay significantly higher fees for separate processors and gateways. We fixed that with a unified solution that saves you money on every transaction.

MyCPO's standard pricing for low-risk merchants includes a $50/month account fee and a card transaction rate of 2.75% + $0.25 per transaction. There are no setup fees, no separate gateway fees, and no hidden charges. The WooCommerce plugin itself is free to install. High-risk or specialized industry merchants may have adjusted rates based on business type and risk profile — your specific pricing will always be confirmed before your account goes live, so there are no surprises.
Our standard card transaction rate of 2.75% + $0.25 is lower than both Stripe (2.9% + $0.30) and Square (2.9%–3.3% + $0.30 depending on plan). MyCPO also charges no additional fee for manually entered cards. We include a dedicated account manager, $100,000 in data breach protection, and high-risk industry support.

No. All fees are disclosed in your Merchant Agreement before you sign.
A reserve account is a portion of your processing funds held as security against chargebacks and potential losses, as the payment processor assumes all liability on transactions processed. Whether a reserve is required — and how much — is determined during onboarding based on your business type and risk profile. You'll know exactly what to expect before you process your first transaction. Most merchants don't have a reserve at all. When one is required, we work with you to keep it reasonable and release it as soon as your processing history supports it.
The Merchant Agreement allows for reserves to be held for up to nine months after account closure to cover any outstanding chargebacks. In practice, the timeline depends on your processing history, chargeback exposure, and ACH rejects — many merchants see funds released sooner. Our team will walk you through the specifics for your account.
MyCPO merchant accounts include a 3-year initial agreement — but we're in the business of earning your loyalty, not locking you in. We invest significant resources in underwriting, onboarding, and setting up each account with our banking partners, and the agreement reflects that partnership. For instance, if MyCPO ever raises its own fees, you'll receive advance notice and always have the right to cancel without penalty.
Our goal is to never have a merchant want to leave. An early termination fee exists in the Merchant Agreement, but we work with merchants on a case-by-case basis and prioritize finding solutions over enforcing penalties. If MyCPO raises its own fees during your term, you can cancel without any termination fee — that protection is built into the agreement.
Every MyCPO merchant gets a dedicated account manager who knows your business — not a rotating support desk. We meet you where you're most comfortable: email, phone, SMS, WhatsApp, Telegram, or Zoom calls as needed. You choose your preferred communication channel, and your account manager is available through it. When something comes up, you're reaching out to someone who already has context on your account, not explaining your situation from scratch.
The online application takes about 10 minutes and collects your basic business and owner information. The final section includes a checklist of supporting documents that may be needed based on your business type — so the application itself will guide you on what to upload. If you run into any issues with specific documents or aren't sure what's required, reach out to our team at onboarding@getmycpo.com and we'll work with you. There's flexibility on some documentation, and we'd rather help you through the process than have a missing document hold things up.
Stripe and Square approve you instantly because they skip the formal underwriting step — but that doesn't mean underwriting never happens. It just means it happens after you're already live and processing. When their system eventually flags your account for review, they can hold your funds or freeze payouts with little to no warning. By that point, you may have already invested in advertising, built up inventory, and committed to expenses based on expected cash flow. Suddenly your revenue is locked and you're scrambling through an audit you didn't see coming.
MyCPO does the underwriting before you go live. It takes a little longer to get started, but once you're approved, your account is fully verified. That means no surprise audits, no frozen payouts, and no scrambling to prove your business is legitimate after you're already up and running. You can focus on growing your business without worrying about your payment processor pulling the rug out from under you.
Our team will follow up with you shortly after your application is submitted to confirm next steps and address any questions. Most applications are reviewed within 1–3 business days, though some businesses may require additional documentation or review. If you're dealing with a time-sensitive situation — like an issue with your current processor and need to get migrated to MyCPO by a specific deadline — let us know. We can accommodate urgent requests and issue same-day approvals when needed. Just reach out to our team at onboarding@getmycpo.com when you submit your application and we'll prioritize accordingly.
Yes. We support many high-risk industries subject to review.
MyCPO includes $100,000 in data breach protection at no additional cost with every merchant account. This helps cover costs associated with a data security incident, such as forensic investigation, notification expenses, and credit monitoring for affected cardholders. To maintain eligibility, your business must stay current on PCI DSS compliance. Our team helps you achieve and maintain compliance so you're always covered.
PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) is a set of security requirements that apply to all businesses that accept credit cards. Yes, you are required to be PCI compliant — this is a universal requirement across all processors, not unique to MyCPO. After your account is approved, you have 90 days to complete your PCI compliance validation (typically a Self-Assessment Questionnaire). MyCPO provides resources and support to help you through the process — for most WooCommerce merchants, it's straightforward and takes about 15–20 minutes. Maintaining PCI compliance also qualifies you for the $100,000 in data breach protection included with your account at no extra cost. If compliance lapses, a $25/month non-compliance fee applies until it's resolved.

The standard Merchant Agreement includes a personal guarantee from the business principal(s), which is common practice in the payment processing industry. However, there is flexibility here. Public companies, non-profits, and established businesses with solid processing history and financials may qualify to have the personal guarantee waived. If this is a concern for your business, let our team know during the application process and we'll review your account on a case-by-case basis.
Standard payout schedule is two business days. If your business requires faster access to funds, we can review your account for expedited funding options, including same-day or next-day payouts. Just let our team know during onboarding and we'll see what we can accommodate based on your processing profile.
